About the founder of TOOLING DEVELOPMENT INC.

Peter Plank completed Tool & Die Technical college in Austria.

In1977 he left Austria for South Africa where he spent 13 years designing and implementing
manufacturing processes. Taking a fresh look at old established methods, he made his mark
by inventing better and more cost effective ways to produce components.
He completed his formal education in machine building, Tool, Die and Production management.

In 1990, he founded FIXTURING AND TOOLING DEVELOPMENT CC.
a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of clamping fixtures and special purpose
equipment for the manufacturing industry.

In 1996, Peter went to Canada where TOOLING DEVELOPMENT INC. was born. Dedicated to
CNC machining complex 3 dimensional surfaces, prototype and production machining,
design and manufacture of clamping fixtures for in-house or customer specific. Peter has an ability
to envisage designs (based on his ability to look past conventional thinking) and then manufacture
these designs to completion. TOOLING DEVELOPMENT INC. has been equipped with modern
machinery and the latest CAD-CAM software.
